Resplendent Quetzal

One of my favorite tropical birds, the Quetzal. There are 6 different species of this bird, this one is the Resplendent Queztal (or long-tailed Quetzal), which is also the national bird of Guatemala.

Absolutely stunning animals, they live in rotting trees in the rain forests in Central America. They have gorgeous iridescent feathers. The females look different than the males... maybe I'll draw one!
